NYC is a shopping mecca. From vintage to boutique to designer shops, there is no shortage of great finds. Needless to say, I had so much fun shopping!
I finally got my hands on the highly coveted Stuart Weitzman Highland Suede Over-the-Knee Boots. I’d been hunting these boots down for quite some time, but they were always sold out. Now I can’t take them off!
I couldn’t pass up visiting one of my favorite go-to stores, Aritzia. The shop in SoHo is massive and the girls were so friendly and helpful! I have to admit, I may have went a little crazy in there
My beloved Burberry poncho sure came in handy this trip. The poncho kept me extra warm while still looking very chic.
I was very excited to work with Rich Difrisco, a talented photographer with an edgy style. Rich has an amazing eye for detail and loves capturing the story behind a picture. I cannot wait to work with him again!
These shots were taken on different streets in Midtown.
Top: Club Monaco | Denim: DL1961(similar) | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Hat: Rag & Bone | Bag: Saint Laurent
One of my favorite everyday looks that can easily transition from day to night and is so simple to throw together.
Club Monaco is my go-to for basics. I recently picked up this “wool crop top with an attached silk shirttail that mimics the layered look” and love how fun it is. It’s warm, without too much bulk; perfect for a brisk winter day in San Francisco.
Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots pull this look together. I have been wearing these boots non-stop since I purchased them in NY. I love how classic and versatile they are; I can easily wear these walking around the city all day.
I’ve been wearing my Rag & Bone fedora hat a ton. It gives any outfit an edge and keeps my head warm on cold days like this
Dress: Nightcap | Boots: Isabel Marant | Hat: Rag & Bone
I’m such a hippie at heart. Hayes Valley, San Francisco is the perfect little artsy hippie neighborhood. If your not familiar with the designer Nightcap you’re missing out! I’m so in love with all their effortless bohemian pieces! Nightcap is a mix of comfortable and sexy and can be worn from day to night. All Nightcap’s line is handmade in Los Angeles, California. My ‘Priscilla‘ dress above also comes in white and black. I’ve added a few more pieces from Nightcap that I’m obsessed with below.

Location: Penthouse Rooftop at the Chatwal Hotel, New York
If you can believe it, this was my very first visit to New York. However, it certainly won’t be my last! I may be a California girl at heart, but I fell in love during my short trip in the Big Apple.
After Iceland, I felt prepared to brave the very cold weather in NY. Although, with high temperatures of 20-30F during the day, I sure felt the chill. Luckily, I packed some really great pieces to layer and a few of my favorite warm coats. I love how much the fashion differs from coast to coast.
While in New York, I was lucky enough to work with Alexandra Wolf, a very talented photographer, well known in the fashion blogger world. I love how well she captures the city in each of the photos and it was an awesome experience to work with her.
I had the best time exploring and shopping in Manhattan’s different boroughs. I highly recommend the Chatwal Hotel, where I stayed in Midtown; it’s very Mad Men-esque with modern touches. One of my favorite spots is a restaurant in SoHo called Parm – fun, loud music with tasty sandwiches. I cannot wait to return to NYC in February. Stay tuned for Part II…

Top: BCBG| Faux leather leggings: Aritzia | Bag: Saint Laurent | Shoes: Christian Louboutin
My Faux leather leggings from Aritzia are one of my favorite basics in my closet. You’ve probably have seen me wear these in a couple of posts before. On colder nights when I don’t want to wear a dress these faux leather leggings are the perfect alternative. I dress them up or wear them super causal.
I love the nude and black combination on my BCBG top. This top also came in a white and nude combination. It was a hard pick between the two but knew I would get more use out of the black. I’m a big fan of the peplum cut also, very flattering and not overly fitted. I paired this outfit with my Classic ‘So Kate’ pump, a perfect Christian Louboutin pump to go with any outfit.
